Munich, January 21, 2026

SIQENS GmbH, a leading provider of innovative hydrogen technologies, will be presenting its products and technologies at Hyvolution 2026 in Paris from 27 to 29 January (Stand D32). The international hydrogen trade fair offers SIQENS a platform to present its cost-efficient solution for decentralised hydrogen supply to a European audience of experts.

The focus of the trade fair presentation will be on EHS (Electrochemical Hydrogen Separation) technology, which represents a highly efficient alternative to energy-intensive electrolysis. The EHS method allows hydrogen to be separated directly from various gas streams and purified to fuel cell quality (99.99%) – with an energy consumption of only 1-4 kWh of electricity per kilogram of hydrogen. Compared to electrolysis, which requires around 50 kWh, this means an energy saving of over 90 per cent.

‘EHS technology enables cost-effective, decentralised hydrogen supply directly at the point of consumption,’ emphasises SIQENS Managing Director Dr Thomas Klaue. ‘Whether from natural gas, industrial process gases or biogas streams, our technology separates high-purity hydrogen where it is needed. This makes the hydrogen infrastructure more economical and flexible, which is equally important for industry, energy suppliers and local authorities.’

The versatility of EHS technology is evident in its wide range of applications: it processes feed gases with a hydrogen content of 2 to 100 per cent, tolerates impurities such as CO up to 2 per cent by volume and delivers modularly scalable quantities. This makes the process suitable for both small decentralised applications and large-scale industrial projects.

Munich-based hydrogen innovator SIQENS has now installed several successfully operating systems at partners and customers. These include the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia and Stadtwerke Haßfurt, together with the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Institute for Energy Technology. The latest system has been integrated into a commercial industrial application. These milestones underscore SIQENS’ commitment to the further development of hydrogen purification processes and reinforce global interest in sustainable energy solutions.

By participating in Hyvolution 2026, Siqens is pushing ahead with its ambitions in the global and European hydrogen market. The trade fair is considered an important platform for hydrogen technologies and attracts trade visitors from industry, the energy sector and research.
