SIQENS GmbH, a developer and manufacturer of methanol-based fuel cell systems, is launching a comprehensive international marketing project as part of the Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) funding programme of the Energy Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, implemented by the German Energy Agency (dena). By December 2027, SIQENS aims to establish the Ecoport methanol fuel cell in Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland and the Baltic States, as a powerful, low-emission and economical off-grid energy solution.

Poland is pushing ahead with hydrogen technologies on a massive scale and offers enormous potential for innovative fuel cell solutions. With our project, we are actively supporting this development and demonstrating that methanol fuel cells are a market-ready, safe and climate-friendly technology for the off-grid and uninterruptible power supply markets, ’ says Dr Thomas Klaue, Managing Director of SIQENS GmbH.
